• Cliché Storm: The episode leaves no western cliché untouched but it's all part of the fun.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Former Superman star Brandon Routh uses the surname "Wayne" as an alias.
• Ho Yay: Rip Hunter and Jonah Hex have their fair share of Bromance moments.
• Les Yay: Sara and Kendra have a very flirty conversation when the former volunteers to help the latter look for her 19th-century self.
• Narm: The way Rip dramatically tosses aside the lower part of his duster to reach his gun for the duel. Doubles as Narm Charm for many.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: A western episode, involving a corresponing prior incarnation of one of the Hawk-couple, and there isn't even a mention to highwayman "Gentleman Jim" Craddock?
