• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • Yusuke from Persona 5 was ultimately his favorite character in the game due to his eccentricities and Confidant storyline. Particularly impressive since, as listed below, Joe actually hated him at first.
  • While not to the same level as Yusuke, Kanji in Persona 4 was his favorite in that game. Joe was highly entertained by him being "the best aspects of Ryuji and Yusuke combined" while being a great character in his own right. Notably, he was one of the few characters in that game he didn't actively bombard with Video Game Cruelty Potential.
• Fan Nickname: Some watchers of Anderson's streams have started calling him "Dadapon" off of a character from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. While initially displeased, he tends to embrace it nowadays.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In his review of Super Mario Odyssey, Joseph compares the game's impressive but underutilized movement tech to having Chris Pratt as an online boyfriend. This analogy only became more hilarious and surreal when The Super Mario Bros. Movie was revealed to have Chris Pratt voicing Mario.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: When playing Persona 5, Joe initially disliked Yusuke greatly due to considering him creepy (in no small part due to his initial treatment of Ann). As stated above, Yusuke won him over as the game progressed.
