- Alternative Character Interpretation:
- Does Volund truly love his wife Hervor? Or does he sees her as some sort of trophy because he claimed her by turning her from a swan to a human?
- Is Hervor being selfish for regaining her swan form and abandoning her loving son Heime? Or does she see this as repairing a great injustice for becoming human against her will by Volund?
- Fridge Horror: Everyone talks about how in love Hervor and Volund are, but given the original myth of the swan maiden, she's essentially Volund's hostage.
- Goddamned Bats: The vargs and the brigands. They quickly become annoying nuisances since they yield very little income (though Fighters can at least pelt the former).
- Les Yay: In The Stinger Brynhild takes the heroine to Valhalla. They are holding hands and are walking on a rainbow.
- Scrappy Mechanic: The NPC Scheduling. While realistic, it can be annoying having to chase down a particular NPC or wait 'til later to buy goods or advance the plot.
