Broken Base: There is debate over the direction of the series namely whether the second and third films were step ups or step downs. One side sees the first film as the best in the series and that with more freedom the director made two Denser and Wackier movies that fall apart on their face. The other side sees the series cartoon-in-live-action feel as its strong suit and that the first film was over-produced and should have been sillier.

Nausea Fuel: Seeing how and what Winston eats can be rather stomach churning.
Tear Jerker: Seeing Winston's owner sadlydeal with him breaking up with his girlfriend. The key reason that tips Winston off is seeing his master lying on the floor. This is noticeably the first time we see his face.
