• Ensemble Dark Horse: Gemma Shin, the new host of the Agony symbiote, appeared late in the series but got a much better reception from fans than the other new Life Foundation symbiote hosts did for a number of reasons: being a non-Caucasian woman, having a mutualistic relationship with her symbiote instead of being controlled by it, and being a supervillain in her own right. Of note, Gemma was the only villainous host to remain bonded to her symbiote, setting her and Agony up to appear in Devil's Reign: Villains for Hire, Thunderbolts (2022), and Daredevil (2022).
• Heartwarming Moments: Toxin is psychically attacked by Carnage, who tries to pressure his son into killing Bren, his new host, and surrendering to Carnage. To signify how he's back from the temporary Villain/Anti-Hero role in Agent Venom, Toxin not only refuses, but declares Bren his friend. Just as Venom had Flash and Eddie, Toxin has found a host that's a friend and comrade to him.
• What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?: It's quite clear that the anti-alien rhetoric and the return of the Friends of Humanity has clear parallels to how the world is in the post-Donald Trump world, with Peter Krane being a blatant Trumplica.
