- Hilarious in Hindsight: To anybody who has seen a certain episode of South Park. There is an episode called: "An Elephant Makes Love to a Pig."
- Tear Jerker: Anytime something happens that brings Piggie to tears is rare enough to be this, due to her being an eternal optimist. Notable examples are when she thought Gerald broke her new toy, and when she got her feelings hurt because Gerald did not want to try her slop.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Due to a lack of Tertiary Sexual Characteristics and the books being written entirely in dialogue with no narration, it's easy to assume that Piggie is male unless/until you come across one where Gerald refers to Piggie via pronoun.
