YMMV / Ed Edd N Eddy S 4 E 11 Little Ed Blue

• Accidental Aesop: If someone's in a bad mood, maybe ask why they're in a bad mood first before trying to cheer them up. Double D and Eddy's attempts to cheer Ed up without knowing why he was mad just ends up making him angrier. If they had simply asked him why he was so upset, they very easily could have saved themselves a lot of pain. And urging someone to "get over it" when they're upset like Eddy tries to do certainly won't help.
• Catharsis Factor:
  • For everything Sarah regularly puts Ed through, it's tremendously satisfying when Ed shouts at her to back off, scaring her shitless.
  • Ed attacking Kevin is also this considering the sheer amount of times the latter has bullied the Eds and gotten away with it.
• Fridge Brilliance: Asking Ed what the problem was probably wouldn't have helped because it's Ed. He likely had no idea of what was really bothering him and couldn't have told them even if they thought to ask. If he did know, he would've just gotten rid of the pebble himself.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Edd trying to have a pep talk with Ed and give him a hug. Even after Ed threatens him, Edd assures him that he'll always be there when he needs him.
  • Even more Ed only forcefully pushes Edd away harmlessly probably because the latter was more gentle with Ed unlike Eddy who brought the pain inflicted from Ed on himself for being aggressive with him.
  • A small one but after Edd was knocked unconscious by Ed's scream, Eddy, who was clearly terrified, stayed behind and tried to wake Edd up even after Ed started to toss around the entire playground. Eddy could've easily ran away and left Edd behind, but it's touching he was trying to wake up his friend and get him out of there first instead of trying to save his own hide as usual.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Ed's Death Glare.
  • SO MOVE!!
  • BIG TROUBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEE!!!!!! scream.
• Moment of Awesome:
  • More like crowning character of awesome! Seriously, everything Ed does in this episode is awesome, from telling his bratty younger sister where to stick it, beating up the neighborhood bully, making a seemingly harmless plastic toy breathe fire, roaring like Godzilla, and nuking the entire playground. And all because of a pebble in his shoe.
  • The fact that Double D and Eddy (though unsympathetically for the latter) keep trying to cheer Ed up despite his vicious demeanor is both this and heartwarming.
• Tear Jerker: A very minor one but Edd is visibly hurt when Ed threatens to squash him.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Ed's bad mood is supposed to be seen as a bad thing. However, when he finally gave Sarah and Kevin their comeuppance, many fans can't help but cheer for him.
