- The attraction was an Affectionate Parody of disaster movies built around the production of the fake movie Mutha Nature, which featured Dwayne Johnson as a heroic park ranger saving the day in the midst of an apocalyptic cataclysm hitting California. In 2015, the real disaster film San Andreas came out, starring Johnson as a heroic rescue helicopter pilot saving the day in the midst of an apocalyptic cataclysm hitting California.
- The ride that replaced Disaster! (and Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue along with it), Fast & Furious: Supercharged, includes Dwayne Johnson as one of the characters, meaning his presence has not been removed from the area where the attraction once stood.
