• Americans Hate Tingle: They are quite popular in their home country of Germany, with their albums receiving good reviews and even sometimes hitting the hard rock charts. However, they are not only significantly smaller elsewhere, but are often mocked and disregarded by death metal listeners due to their sound (death 'n' roll being a largely dead subgenre that many saw as a fad to begin with long before they even started).
• Archive Panic: They have 12 studio albums as of 2021, which is a pretty sizable amount considering that their first record was released in 2003.
• Awesome Art: Their merchandise is a sight to behold and unlike anything else in death metal, with art that brings the creatures from their music's lore to life as if they came from video game or movie Concept Art. Thomas even collaborated with McFarlane toys to create official collectible minifigures of the characters he envisioned, each having huge attention to detail. That's extremely dedicated for a fairly small band!
• Narm:
  • Some of their lyrics are so over-the-top gory that they come full circle and end up becoming more hilarious than unsettling. A great example would be the first lines of "King of Killing", when Thomas belts out, "I will stitch your anus together so you can drown in your own shit!"
  • Although it's clearly not meant to be taken seriously, the line in "New Rock" about how much Thomas hates hip-hop music can come off as cringeworthy, since it makes him sound like a pretentious 18-year-old kid who doesn't know anything about rap beyond what's on Top 40 radio.
• Narm Charm: Despite their cheesy nature, they have a cult following for a reason. It's very clear that the band is just having fun and not taking themselves too seriously.
  • The backstory Thomas wrote for the lore behind his projects is undeniably silly, but it fits their music and aesthetic so well that it's hard to really fault it.
• Never Live It Down:
  • Thomas was fired from his job as a student teacher after the band's ultra-violent stage performances were uncovered. He was asked to either quit the band or stay with the school, and needless to say, he chose to remain with the band. This incident has been covered by so many news outlets that it often overshadows the band itself, to the point that Thomas has had to point out misinformation numerous times (e.g. the fact that he was a student teacher and not a full-time, legitimate one).
  • Even worse is when Thomas tried to copyright the term "Blood God" when another group wanted to use it, despite the fact that he does not own the term at all and the phrase existed ages before the band did.
