- Alternate Character Interpretation: David's publicist. Did she try her best despite being doomed to begin with due to her client being a hopeless case, or was she fleecing him for a sucker and not particularly concerned with where the chips fell so long as she made a few quid and got off with a guy or two?
- Canon Discontinuity: Some The Office (UK) fans ignore this movie due to the lack of involvement of Stephen Merchant, the lack of any other characters from the show other than Brent and the film adding little to the Brent character that wasn't covered in the finale Christmas specials.
- Contested Sequel: Stephen Merchant had no involvement with the film; it also didn't help that it was made at the height of a backlash against Ricky Gervais, whose character was the only one from the series to return.
- Designated Villain: Jezza is villainized for finding Nigel and David's constant disrupting behavior and racist jokes irritating. Downplayed in that the way he goes about it is very abrasive, plus he has a Kick the Dog moment when mocking David for his tour not succeeding.
