• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Willow discusses Doogie Howser, M.D. fanfiction. Two years later there'd be a show that had Willow and Doogie.
  • Azura Skye's (Cassie) character in American Horror Story, a cult follower who breaks into the Harmon home, also has foreshadowing of her imminent deaths.
• Narm: The episode devotes a lot of time to the characters reading rather lousy poetry. It does read like the sort of poetry a teenage girl would rattle off, but you get the sense it's supposed to be deep and meaningful... which is a lot to ask from teenage poetry.
• Retroactive Recognition: Rick Gonzalez graduated from Sunnydale High, followed his brother into the military, moved to Star City, and became a vigilante under the tutelage of the Green Arrow.
