- Broken Base: This is one of the most controversial episodes of Black Mirror to date. Some viewers find it suspenseful and interesting while other viewers think it's boring and dislike the lack of context given for the setting.
- Evil Is Cool: While the Dogs are undoubtedly the villains, the mix of sleek angles and realistic mechanical components in their (fairly unique within fiction) design, combined with the ingenuity displayed by the one in the episode, lead them into awesome territory for many people, at least as far as inhuman killing machines go.
- Ugly Cute: The dogs, to whose who don't find them physically horrifying or just really slick. They're slightly bigger than a breadbox, patter around on their little legs, and go into sleep mode when they run out of juice. Even the official Twitter seems aware of this.
- Visual Effects of Awesome: Props to the visual effects and animation team for making the killer robots look so real.
