- Awesome Music: It's About Time has a beautiful theme by Daniel Licht (Dishonored, Dexter).
- Broken Base: The unambiguously happy Reset Button Ending in which Everybody Lives. A lame copout, or a nice change of pace for an otherwise almost nihilistically dour franchise?
- Narm: A blob opens the bedroom door, closes it, and then climbs into bed with Andrea, even taking some of the blanket for itself.
- Signature Scene: Andy being melted and pulled down the drain by the Blob Monster.
- Squick:
- Jacob's increasingly gangrenous-looking leg wound, especially when it starts spurting the franchise's trademark Ominous Obsidian Ooze.
- Andy melting into a lumpy pile of flesh, which then gets deposited into Leonard's bath.
- The corrupted Lisa attempting to seduce her brother, Rusty.
- Surprisingly Improved Sequel: Amityville: It's About Time is considered to be the best of the direct-to-video sequels, far superior to the two that preceded it, and possibly even better than the theatrically-released Amityville 3-D.
