• Ensemble Dark Horse: While MEW was the most popular to begin with, Athy has far eclipsed her and the rest of AkioAIR (as of this writing, she has 17.1K subs, and none of the others have passed 10K) as a result of her cover of "Ghost" and, in general, her music being advertised before popular vtubers' streams.
• Friendly Fandoms: Dee the Sphinx's fans are often also fans of the Akio Girls, and came out in full force to support them against the agency when Athy spoke out and when the remaining talent quit en masse. (Just don't ask why, or think too hard about why most KyuuDees at the time had previously been Fennatics before Fen's graduation.) In turn, Dee's fanbase had a Newbie Boom of other people who supported the former AkioAIR talent and discovered her from her statements on the matter.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: AkioWATER specifically (who only streamed their debuts) and the company in general. There were a lot more eyes on the announcement that the company had cast a minor for Nophi (1.6 million views and over 1,000 retweets and comments as of the group's dissolution) and the outcry about that^note The announcement boiled down to simply "please don't lewd this character, we cast a minor," with many comments pointing out that telling artists not to do it wasn't likely to stop them. While there are underage indies and some of the major agencies hired minors many years before (most famously, Akai Haato debuted while still in high school), no major agency has hired minors in years as a protective measure. In fact, AkioAIR themselves had an 18+ restriction on their form but hired Nophi as an exception. than on any AkioAIR stream, and the controversy from that as well as the allegations of poor staff treatment, especially from the CEO, made the agency a household name faster than any ad or viral video.
• Writing Around Trademarks: After leaving, Athena and MEW got new models and channels but kept their social media accounts and started using the names "Athy" and "Metorial," which were used as nicknames during their Akio days but are not copyrighted by the company the way "Athena Nightingale" and "MEW Horizon" are. After taking a long break after the company's demise, Kion and Nonoah also returned on the same social media accounts they'd used before, using the names "Kiyon" and "Nor." Perhaps taking a cue from Dokibird (who had recently redebuted and kept her Fan Community Nickname "Dragoons" since Nijisanji couldn't copyright it), Kiyon is still calling her fans "Embers."
