Funny Online Animals
is a web comic made by KC Green, featuring characters from his earlier comic Gunshow, including Question Hound (the "This is fine" dog) but mainly the woodland critters. It is also syndicated by King Features Syndicate.
This comic features many already-established but unnamed characters being given names. Most important are:
- Guy — the duck
- Bradley — the short rabbit
- Billie — the fox
- Cool Frog — the cool frog
This webcomic provides examples of:
- Animal Religion: Prissy the possum is a devout worshipper of "The Old One", a moose that once ate an entire bucket of golf balls at the driving range.
- Four-Temperament Ensemble: The main four. Billie (phlegmatic) is quiet but friendly. Cool Frog (sanguine) is outgoing and supportive. Guy (melancholic) is often self-loathing and depressed. Bradley (choleric) pranks and trolls others.
- Funny Animal: The majority of the cast, as implied by the strip's title.
- Hates the Job, Loves the Limelight: Question Hound, who is in-universe recognized as the viral hit of yesteryear for "On Fire".
- Put on a Bus: The rabbits were hardly ever seen seperately in the Gunshow days, but only one of them has remained part of the main cast. The tall rabbit (now named Kevin) has only appeared once, where it's made clear he's a family man now, and his old dynamic with his brother has... changed.
- The Quiet One: Billie is no longer The Voiceless, like she was in Gunshow, but still speaks way less than the other characters.
- Woodland Creatures: The original premise behind basically the entire main cast, even if they don't spend much time in the woods nowadays.
