The Shroobs Revenge is a fan animation made by, fittingly enough, Shroobs Channel
. Taking place after Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, the fan animation details the Shroobs launching a comeback invasion with some help of an old enemy of the Mario Brothers.
The Shroobs Revenge provides examples of:
- Big Bad Duumvirate: Fawful had already established one with the Shroobs before the series began.
- Big Damn Heroes: Episode 8 has Baby Bowser, of all people, do this as he saves the Mario Brothers, Peach and his future self after both Mario and Bowser are injured from fighting the Junior Shrooboid.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: What happens to Mario and Bowser when they fight the Junior Shrooboid.
- Downer Ending: The season 1 finale ends with the Shroobs victorious in their conquest.
- Enemy Mine: Bowser and the Mario Brothers quickly form one when they realize what is going on.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: It’s made clear numerous times that the Shroobs truly care about each other despite their craving for destroying things.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Fawful and the Shroob Commander are just about to take over Bowser’s castle. Then Fawful gets a bit too excited, causing them to crash. Then it turns out they crashed right into Peach’s castle.
- Uncertain Doom: It’s unclear whether the other Shroobs barring the Elder Princess are still alive after Bowser crushes them in the season 1 finale.
- Villain Protagonist: Given that this is the Shroobs, it’s pretty obvious.
