A girl heard her mom yell her name from downstairs, so she got up and started to head down.
As she got to the stairs, her mom pulled her into her room and said "I heard it too."
I Heard It Too is an animated horror short created by Axeman Cartoons, and is a part of Let's Read!'s 10 Two Sentence Horror Stories, which are animated adaptations of some stories taken from the Two Sentence Horror Stories subreddit.

The video tells the story of a girl named Sarah, who starts to head downstairs as soon as she hears her mother call her name. As she reaches the stairs, however, her real mother pulls her into her room, telling her that she also heard the voice.

The short is often agreed to be the scariest one among those of the 10 Two Sentence Horror Stories series. It's also the most remembered one, to the point of having gathered a small following, even obtaining a fan-made remake and a pair of Fan Games on Rec Room and Roblox.

I Heard It Too provides examples of:

  • Adaptation Expansion: Among the various animations of the short horror stories, this one easily expands the source material the most.
  • All There in the Script: The Maternal Wraith's name is revealed in the credits.
  • Big Bad: The Maternal Wraith is the main antagonist of the short, being the monster that's after Sarah.
  • Downer Ending: Sarah's mother is killed by the Maternal Wraith and Sarah herself is dragged away (and possibly killed) by the monster.
  • Riddle for the Ages: Essentially everything is purposefully left unanswered. What is the Maternal Wraith? Why is it after Sarah? Why did it hug her? What happened to Sarah?
  • Uncertain Doom: Sarah's fate at the end of the video. We see her being dragged away by the Maternal Wraith, although whether she was simply kidnapped or outright killed is left unknown.
