Roz will be revealed to be a military robot.

At least one animal will die tragically.
If the movie follows the book series, many animals will die tragically. One of the most important and saddest lessons Roz learns in the books is when a huge winter storm leaves a virtual graveyard of her animal friends behind, all frozen to death. This teaches her just how fragile life truly is, and how brutal and capricious nature can be. The trailer definitely shows a blizzard, so it's possible this will play an important role in the plot.

Roz’s creators will come after her due to her being defective or having major company secrets.

Hence the amount of effort seen in the trailer.

There will be reference to Over the Hedge.
After all, that was Dreamworks first film featuring Woodland Creatures as main characters and being set in North American wilderness (sort of). Not to mention that Catherine O'Hara, Penny voice actress, will voice a female opossum in the movie, meaning that Pinktail being Heather and/or Ozzie's expy is possible.

Fink will be voiced by Paweł Domagała in the Polish dub.
Given that he already voiced a fox in the another animated movie about animals with additions of trailer having similar emotional vibes to Zootopia and sequel to the said movie coming in next year, it could be possible that Paweł will give us a foretaste of Nick Wilde in the form of Fink before Zootopia 2 will release in November 26. Bonus points if Bartosz Wierzbięta, dialogist who worked on Zootopia and several previous Dreamworks films will translate dialogues for the movie, bringing similarities to both movies even more closer.

Roz and Fink first meeting will look different than in the book.
In the book, Roz founded Fink injured by porcupine's spikes, and after pulling the spikes out, Fink becomed her friend. However, when Fink first appears in the trailer, he's seen cornered by Roz while holding Brightbill's egg in his mouth. This could mean that Roz founded Brightbill's egg before meeting Fink, and meet the fox when he stoled her egg with the intention of eating it.

Roz's animal friends will rescue her from her creators.
At the end of the trailer you can see two geese (probably Brightbill and yet unseen Longneck) flying towards cyberpunk-looking city. This could probably mean that Roz animal friends will travel from their home forest to the city of man in order to rescue Roz from her creators. Maybe that's when a reference to Over the Hedge will came - Roz's friends will orchestrate a plan to break into factory and save her.

The wolverine character will be a case of Species Subversives.
In the scene where Roz and her animal friends (namely Fink, Brightbill, a moose, a deer and a lynx) are escaping from possibly Roz creators (someone had to fire those flares) a wolverine can be spotted among them. Given they appear later in the trailer, again accompanied by previously mentioned animals, could indicate that they're member of Roz's close circle of friends. And since wolverines are traditionally depicted as territorial and agressive loners, this wolverine will be instead potrayed as being social, friendly and loyal individual who will possibly lampshade the reputation of their species.
  • Bonus points if this wolverine will turn out to be female, subverting how wolverines in fiction are usually portrayed as male.
