WMG / Inazuma Eleven: Ares

Go To

The teams every member of Raimon joined as a reinforcement comittee
We already know that Kidou joined Seishou Gakuen, Kazemaru joined Teikoku Gakuen, Gouenji joined Kidokawa Seishou, Someoka joined Hakuren, Kabeyama joined Minodouzan, and Domon and Ichinose went back to America, but what about the other members? Based on their personalities/abilities and the teams' gimmicks, I'm trying to guess the team most likely for each character to become a reinforcement comittee of:
  • Endou joined Tonegawa Tousen. In one of the anime trailers, there's a glimpse of a boy who wears Daisuke's gloves, so who else can he be other than Endou? Confirmed.
  • Megane most likely joined Shuuyou Meito/Otaku. The reason is pretty self-explanatory and I think even him can become a reinforcement comittee and who knows? Maybe his football skills have improved in the meantime and will actually get the chance to play.
  • Shourin most likely joined Manyuuji because it's the only team that combines martial arts with soccer. Another possibility is Sengoku Igajima (the ninja team), but I think the former is much more likely.
  • Kageno most likely joined Occult, which is also self-explanatory. Plus, he kinda looks like a ghost, which fits the team's members being based on monsters.
  • Kurimatsu probably joined Nose, considering he looks the closest like an animal (a chipmunk in this case), but considering how crazy most of the team is, he's probably not amused at all that he ended up in such a team for such a stupid reason. All we know for sure based on his Eleven Band's colour scheme is that part of his soccer uniform is green, making the theory possible.
  • And that's pretty much all I can think of. While I can tell with some certainty what teams the above five members ended up into, it's a lot harder to guess for the others (Shishido, Max and Handa) because they don't fit the gimmick of any known team, let alone guess what non-gimmicky team they joined.
    • In the end, they probably transferred to schools that were not introduced previously, both because they don't fit the gimmick of any known team and because the few non-gimmicky teams already have reinforcement committees. I had hopes one of them would have joined Oumihara or Yokato, but the game versions of both teams were revealed and they didn't.

The secret about Coach Zhao Jin Yun/Chou Kinun
Considering the upcomming episode 3 is titled "The Mysterious Coach Zhao Jin Yun", I'm trying to guess who he really is. My first theory is that he's Shourin's father or somehow related to him, because why not? They're both Chinese and know kung-fu and it would be normal for him to have some kind of connection with at least one character from the original Raimon team. If that turns out to be true, it would be interesting if Inakuni Raimon's next opponent is Manyuuji (because that's the team I believe Shourin joined after Raimon split up). Of course, being The Mole to one of the antagonists isn't out of the question, either, but it seems a bit more cliche and predictable.
  • Partially Jossed. Inakuni Raimon's next match won't be against Manyuuji, but against Minodouzan. Also, there's nothing mentioned about Chou Kinun being related to Shourin (he's not mentioned at all in the episode), but until his Ares debut, it's not disputed yet.
  • Also, the part about him being The Mole to one of the antagonists is pretty much jossed. If anything, he's actually the Big Good of the series.

Iwato and Hiura will be the key members in the match against Minodouzan
The coach didn't give them chores for nothing, he gave them to learn new hissatsus. Iwato, ho had to clean up the wall of graffiti, will obviously learn The Wall and this can be seen in the preview to episode 4. Hiura, who had to wash the school ground with a hose, will probably learn an offensive hissatsu which will probably be a water-related one.
  • Confirmed, this is almost exactly what happens in episode 4. Well, Hiura's hissatsu Ice Arrow is made of ice instead of water, but close enough.

This can explain why her first name is English and her last name is Japanese. It should be noted that her last name is also an archaic term used in English to identify to the emperors of Japan during the 19th century, so while "Mikado" is mainly meant to symbolize her status as the Empress of Raimon, it can also suggest that she has some English ancestors.
  • Anna is actually a Japanese name and it's written in Kanji. Foreign names are written in Katakana. A character who is more likely to have mixed ancestry is Kurakake Clara, aho does have a foreign first name.

Haizaki didn't have any toys when he was little.
The preview to episode 5 shows him catching a teddy bear from a jukebox. I believe he wants a teddy bear to compensate for his lack of toys in his possibly dark childhood. To support this theory, one of the trailers for Ares shows a young Haizaki playing with a lobster, which brings some implications about him being ostracized by the other kids for his odd behaviour.
  • Jossed, his backstory is completely different from what I expected. He didn't buy the teddy bear for him, but for his Childhood Friend whom he's trying to help recover from her unresponsive state. He techniqually did have at least one friend and there's no evidence about him being considered weird by the other kids or having no toys.

Nosaka was chosen as a test subject for the Ares no Tenbin program.
I'm not 100% sure how this educational program works, but as seen so far with Haizaki's friend Akane and a team of kids who received this program, it makes the people not only excel in every area, it also makes them emotionless, almost too robot-like. Nosaka is The Ace and doesn't show much emotion so far, so it seems likely that he's one of the subjects. There's also the fact that Outei Tsukinomiya's sponsor, Gekkou Electronics, is owned by Midouin, the one who introduced the program.
  • Confirmed in episode 11.

Fuyuka's biological parents are alive in this series.
If she had been adopted by Kudou like in the original series, I think it would have made more sense for her to be a manager for the team he coaches, Seishou Gakuen. But considering she doesn't appear at all or at least she isn't a manager for that team, the most logical conclusion is that she's not adopted by him and thus, her parents are alive.

Chou Kinun getting arrested is one of his tricks.
Many people expect it to be a trick and it wouldn't be a surprise for him to do that, giving how much of an eccentric trickster he is. He probably wants to Inakuni Raimon to learn on their own.
  • Jossed. He got arrested because of a mistake.

There will be a Love Triangle between Haizaki, Akane and Nosaka.
And Haizaki will become a Crazy Jealous Guy, if not Yandere when he discovers that Nosaka and Akane are meeting behind his back and believes they're in a relationship.
  • Pretty much jossed. We get a Ship Tease of Nosaka and Anna instead and the reason Nosaka and Akane are even meeting behind his back is to discuss of their plan to destroy the Ares no Tenbin Program. Heck, Haizaki even saved Nosaka.

The reason why Kazemaru is working for Kageyama.
Either:
  • He was somehow brainwashed to work for him or was given some kind of phlebotinum.
  • After Raimon lost against Barcelona Orb, Kazemaru started to think he's too weak and wanted to become stronger. Kageyama took advantage of the situation and manipulated him into joining a strong team like Teikoku and even working for him. This variant makes the most sense, considering what happened in the original series in season 2. Maybe it's a combination of the first and second.
  • Kazemaru is [[ mole only pretending to work for him]] to try to stop whatever Kageyama is planning.
  • He wanted to be more special by getting involved in a more interesting plot.
As expected, the second variant turns out to be the correct one.

Goujin isn't misnaming Fire Tornado, but trying to learn a completely different hissatsu named Fire Lemonade.
The reason why it doesn't work is either because he has no idea how to create it or because it's highly unlikely to combine fire with lemonade. Maybe both reasons.
  • Confimed, Goujin indeed wanted to create a different hissatsu, which he finally succeeded in the finale agsinst Outei Tsukinomiya, scoring the winning goal with it! Techniqually, it's still a misnaming of Fire Tornado, but the misnaming was first done by his father, not by Goujin himself. He showed that even a misnaming can turn into an actual hissatsu.

Haizaki's parents got divorced.
The last time we saw his parents was in episode 12, during one of his flashbacks from a few years ago, so we don't anything about them at present. However, it's possible they might have divorced in the meantime, since his father seems to dislike soccer and be unsupportive towards his son's passion (he didn't like when Haizaki brought a "dirty" ball inside, although that could also mean he's just obsessed with cleaning). On top of that, he could be an alcooholic, as seen when he asks his wife for a beer.

We get to see Wolf Legend's original form in Inazuma Eleven Ares.
Considering Atsuya is alive, it is very likely we see them performing how Wolf Legend was originally supposed to look like as Fubuki described it in Inazuma Eleven 2.
  • This didn't happen in the first season, but if Shirou and Atsuya will both get selected for Inazuma Japan, there's still a chance to see Wolf Legend in season 2. Judging by the number of votes, there's a high chance for him to get selected.
  • Jossed, maybe. Even though Atsuya will join Inazuma Japan, he does that to replace Shirou, making it unlikely to see Wolf Legend, unless we see him perform it with somebody else (we might even get a flashback where the two brothers perform it if that's going to happen) or Shirou will come back to the team later.

Keshins won't appear in Inazuma Eleven Ares
This one goes without saying really.
  • I think Hino confirmed somewhere they wouldn't appear, and they didn't until now, so it's confirmed. Although hissatsu techniques that resemble Keshins (such as King's Lance and Fuujin Raijin) and souls (such as Touko Buffalo Train) still appear.

Inazuma Japan's representatives in Ares.
The whole team, consisting of 22 members, will be revealed on 26 August, but until then, we can just guess who will get selected, based on how popular, strong or relevant for the story the characters are.
  • From the original team, the Inazuma All-Stars will definitely get selected. Kabeyama has strong chances as well, because we need a strong defender. Someoka is a likely choice, but considering how many good forwards we have, I'm not sure. Kurimatsu is not popular or relevant, so he has little chance; Megane overstayed his welcome in the first series, Domon and Ichinose will probably join Unicorn and the rest? Zero chance, as always. From the Inazuma Caravan, aside from Shirou and possibly Atsuya, I don't think anyone else will reappear.
  • From Inakuni Raimon, outside of the definitely safe Asuto, the most likely choices are Kozoumaru, Hiura, Norika (as a substitute GK or even in another position, as I would like it), Mansaku and Hattori. Probably Goujin and Hiyori as well. Iwato is too similar to Kabeyama, so he probably won't make it. Michinari isn't very interesting, relevant and doesn't do too much as Raimon's captain, so he also has little chance. Okuiri also isn't very important, but if he does get selected, at least we won't need Megane anymore.
  • From other teams, aside from the other two protagonists Haizaki and Nosaka, I think Mizukamiya from Seishou, Sakuma and Fudou from Teikoku, Tatsuya, Hiroto and possibly Midorikawa from Eisei, Sakanoue from Tonegawa, Perseus and Hades from Zeus and Nishikage from Outei are likely choices, while Aphrodi, Burn and Gazelle once again will represent Korea.
  • The managers will probably be Aki, Haruna, Tsukushi and Anna. Not sure about Natsumi and Fuyuka is most likely out of the question, especially considering one of the previous theories. The coach will remain Chou Kinun, because why not?
  • The members have been released! Of course, it's not 100% as predicted, but close enough (the biggest surprise has to be Saginuma, though, as well as Iwato being chosen over Kabeyama). But there are still three members left, specifically two forwards and one defender. For the forwards I'm going with Nae (because we need at least a girl) and either Kozoumaru or Atsuya and for defender I'm going with Mizukamiya (because Hino knows he's popular). As for the managers, only Tsukushi and Anna remain, without the ones from the older series, and the coach does indeed remain Chou Kinun, but Kudou also comes back this season.
    • However, there is apparently this voting thing on Twitter, which lets fans choose three people they want to see in the national team. Judging by the number of votes, the three most likely to win are Atsuya, Midorikawa and Aphrodi.

There will be a Neo/Resistance Japan team.
It's highly likely, if only to give more screentime for fan-favourites and other strong characters who didn't make it onto Inazuma Japan.
  • Pretty much jossed since the Asian preliminaries arc ended and we didn't get such a team. Although I think, and it would be interesting, that Inazuma Japan will have a match with a team consisting of random popular characters and the six ones that had the most votes will qualify for the team.

Asuto's father is part of the Orion Foundation.
As early as episode 11 of Ares, it's hinted that Asuto's father turned into a really bad person after he left Japan, which spawned lots of theories about who is his real father. The consensus is that Shinjou Takuma is his father, which means that his surname is probably fake. Either that, or the Orion Foundation hides somebody who will be introduced later who is his father.
  • Confirmed. Shinjou Takuma is his father.

The next season after Orion will be this alternative timeline's version of GO.
That is, there will be a Time Skip of ten years or so where the characters will be adults and Asuto will become the coach for Raimon's team, but instead of making it a full trilogy like GO, they'll compress it in a single season, which can still be pretty large.
  • Jossed. There won't be any new anime seasons after Orion.

Inakuni Raimon will have a friendly match with the original Raimon at the end.
However, if there will be one, it's more likely to happen off-screen, like the one from the end of Chrono Stone between Raimon GO and original Raimon.
  • Confirmed. However, it isn't exactly a friendly match because it takes place during the Football Frontier Autumn Tournament.

Ichihoshi has a dark past.
Ok, that goes without saying, but the question remains what kind of past? Considering the beginning scene of Orion shows a younger version of him alongside his brother and father, there must have happened something bad to them, like being killed by the people who gave him his Orion's mark.
  • Aside from the fact that he has a dark past (as expected, because he couldn't be evil without having one) and that his father is dead, this is jossed. His brother is still alive, but suffers from a terminal illness and the only way to save his brother was to join the Disciples of Orion. Also, his father wasn't killed by anyone, he died in a car accident. Not surprisingly, because we all know how much the producers love car accidents.
    • Re-jossed. His brother,Mitsuru is indeed deceased.

Nosaka will meet Ichinose in the hospital.
Considering Nosaka is having his operation in America that would be nice. Ichinose is already confirmed by Hino to appear, but he won't play for America's team because he confirmed that none of the teams from the original FFI will be the same, which means no Fideo, Edgar, Mark, Dylan or Rococo (they could still show up somehow, but we may never know). The most likely conclusion is that, like in the original, he needs an operation for his injuries from his childhood and he'll meet Nosaka in the hospital. If Domon will also appear with him in the hospital, it would be nice if Nosaka pointed out that their friendship reminds him of his friendship with Nishikage. It's also possible to meet Tayiou, considering concept art shows a young version of him. Maybe Nosaka will meet both Ichinose and Tayiou.
  • Confirmed for Taiyou, but jossed for Ichinose. He'll still appear in Orion, but perhaps he doesn't need hospitalization, so the most logical conclusion at the moment is that he and Domon will play for America's team after all. What else can they do?

Mutekigahara Fujimaru is Lee Kobun's real identity.
There are many hints to suggest this. Same voice, same height, the fact that Lee's position in Inazuma Japan is "???", the fact that Fujimaru came out of nowhere and is not even listed in Inazuma Japan.
  • Also, he's most likely the captain of China's national team, because in the intro, he's the last person shown in the section where they show the opponents from each team in the Asian preliminaries and it's confirmed that Inazuma Japan will face China in the finals. But since the other people shown are Disciples of Orion, it seems that Fujimaru/Lee is one as well, which may explain why his boss, Zhao Jin Yun is so suspicious sometimes.
  • Confirmed in episode 15 of Orion, although he isn't the captain of China's team.

Yuu is Lee Kobun's sister.
Related to the previous theory, Fujimaru and Lee aren't only the same person, who is the captain of China's team. He's also the brother of Yuu, which is hinted by their similar appearances (mainly the facial structures and similar heights), their similar mysterious personalities, the fact that Yuu's first-name is Chinese and her last-name is not confirmed yet (they wouldn't have been able to keep their relationship secret if they had revealed her surname, would they?) and the fact that Hino confirmed there is a relationship between them. They're both part of China's team and, in the case Lee isn't the captain, Yuu is equally likely to be.
  • Ok, unless Yuu is Older Than She Looks, she's probably too young to be part of the team, but if the FFI rules are the same as in the original, there shouldn't be any age limit.
  • Confirmed as of episode 15. She's even part of the team, although as a manager instead of a player.

Haizaki will join Raimon.
This is not necessarily my theory, but it's currently one of the most accepted, so I'm throwing it here. Seishou will lose in the match against Outei Tsukinomya, so in order to achieve his goal of defeating the Ares program, he'll join Raimon and only after that he'll defeat it like how Kidou did in the first series.
  • The more episodes pass, the more it becomes likely that Haizaki will join Raimon. There's no way Seishou will fight against Outei again and the only way he can defeat them is to join Raimon. Another reason is because they can't abort the arc with Akane right now and the match between Raimon and Outei will be the moment when we'll finally find out what's going on after all.
  • Everybody who said this was going to happen, was right.

Asuto will become the captain.
Well, Michinari is not very liked as a captain by some due to being considered useless and the creators will listen to the people who want him replaced, so if he'll really have to give up this position to somebody else in the future, (e.g. because he gets injured, like what happened to Shindou in GO) who else can replace him other than Asuto?
  • Confirmed, this is exactly what happened. Again, everybody saw this one coming. Too bad Michinari had to get injured and give his captain role after he finally started to have some Character Development and become a better captain.

Aki is Tonegawa Tousen's manager.
Similar to the above theory about what team some members of Raimon joined as a reinforcement commitee, this is a theory about what team the managers joined. Since Natsumi left the country to investigate the plays in other teams and Haruna joined Seishou, the team of her brother's, the only manager left is Aki and the most likely team she joined is Tonegawa Tousen because this is the team that Endou joined and they're both close friends and classmates.
  • Confirmed, unsurprisingly.

Norika will eventually be given a different position than goalkeeper.
It would be better for her to become a forward or at least anything else than goalkeeper, because as she realized in episode 16, she's really not that good at this position (neither are most goalkeepers from Ares, mind you) and started to feel sad because of it. But in the next episode, she'll become stronger after being given a position she happens to be good. Considering Hakuren has a girl who appears to be good at soccer despite playing it for the first time, it's not impossible for Norika to become an Instant Expert, either.
  • Jossed. Instead of being given a different position, she learns a stronger goalkeeper hissatsu, Mermaid Veil. That being said, it's still possible to happen in the future, especially if even her second hissatsu becomes uselesss after a while.

Baek Shi-Woo will eventually return.
After Inazuma Japan (Orion) VS Red Bison's match men in tuxedo captured Baek after he failed in his mission, And it didn't happen to any other Dispicles of Orion (Park and Lee, Satan and As, Anahan and Dost, Andreas and Falcon)

So that means Baek will have another story arc later in Orion and maybe is brainwashed or took something like the RH Program and became super powerful.

Not all the members of Raimon came back at the end.
At the end of Orion, we see that Raimon's members reunited after finishing their roles as reinforcement committees, and are ready to have a match with Inakuni. However, Kageno, Megane and Shishido didn't appesr on-screen. It can be assumed that it's just because they are on the bench, note  but what if the former two didn't come back at all? The reason why is because compared to Raimon, they were much more popular at their new teams/schools, (Occult and Shuuyou Meito in my headcanon), whose teammates/schoolmates as a whole are much more compatible with their personalities. Also, Occult's last year number 4 graduated, so without Kageno, they wouldn't have enough members.
