WMG / Helltaker

Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies here and all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

The Helltaker is actually a reincarnated version of Jesus Christ himself.

Beelzlebub is actually The Helltaker from the future.
And she's simply reminiscing her memories of the past.

The Helltaker is actually Thomas Mutton a.k.a "Boss" from Catherine.
That explains his use of sunglasses.

The Helltaker is actually the Satan from Broforce, possibly a reincarnation of him.

The true reason why Malina seems to be the only one with black nails.
It feels kind of weird how Malina is the only one who bothers with painting her nails when everybody else doesn't, not even Lucifer. Well, the truth is actually exactly the opposite. Demon nails are naturally solid black, and it's fashionable to make them the color of either your skin or ordinary human nails. Malina is basically the only one who doesn't bother.

Judgement resents Lucifer for causing her fall.
Judgement seems to especially dislike Lucifer, actively defying her orders and insulting her by calling her "snake". We learned from Justice that Judgement and Lucifer are both fallen angels, so we can guess that Judgement was one of the angels that joined Lucifer in her rebellion against God. Since that rebellion failed and cast them all to Hell, Judgement is still sore at Lucifer for costing her paradise.
  • This can't be the case, as Lucifer has white horns to indicate her age, whereas Judgement's are still black, meaning she fell at a later date.

The events of Examtaker take place in the Abysstaker timeline.
In the early comics which happen in the Time Skip between the Final Boss and the Epilogue, the Helltaker is shown to act as a Straight Man to the harem and reins in some of their nastier tendencies alongside Judgement. It's possible that, if he was present, he'd have gotten Lucifer to stop her attempts at corrupting Azazel, preventing the events of Examtaker from ever happening.
  • Confirmed by the spin-off comics

During Examtaker, the rest of the demons are still living on Earth.
The only reason Lucifer and Justice are in Hell is because of Azazel's coup, as they basically tried to fight back only to lose. Perhaps it happened some time after Azazel went a-conquering, with Lucifer being a long-distance general before that, only to end up going toe-to-toe with Azazel sometime at the end. While the rest of the demons, being relatively low-ranking, basically continued bumming it in Helltaker's house. Which, probably, got reinforced to be all but indestructible after all their shenanigans.

Subject 67 is a partial clone of Helltaker.
Though he seems very similar to Helltaker visually, his personality is radically different from Helltaker, and Examtaker takes place in the Abysstaker timeline where Helltaker ended up in a timeless void with Belzebub, so it's more likely he's still there and Loremaster made Subject 67 by adding some of Helltaker's DNA that he left lying around, like some blood or hair or toenails, to a Skeleton.

Justice is actually God in disguise.
He/She/They/Whatever realized what a screw up they were during the Old Testament (which isn't quite correctly written down) and by the time of the New Testament, they'd retired and left heaven, leaving it entirely in the angels' control, all in order to try and reconnect with their daughter, at least in some way, via pretending to be a demon and becoming her friend.

Almighty cosmic power, all of it used just to be awesome and cook good apple pies. At this point she wouldn't go back even if the rest of the angels begged.

Beelzebub attempted to overtake Hell

Since in the real world, there are people who (incorrently) use "Beelzebub" and "Lucifer" interchangebly to refer to Satan, maybe in Helltaker's world, it's maybe because since Beelzebub attempted to overtake Hell, and this is why she was sent into the Abyss.

Lucifer turns the aircon all the way up in her office
Dante's Inferno holds that Lucifer sits in Cocytus, the Ninth Circle, which is said to be a really cold place. Therefore, it only makes sense that she has the aircon on at full strength in her office. It's so cold that the phrase "Hell freezing over" means "Lucifer left the office door open again and the aircon is making everything cold" in Helltaker's Hell.
