The road to hell is paved with good intentions... Kristoph Gavin is willing to go to hell and back in order to get his revenge on Phoenix Wright. Even if it means making a deal to get it... Even if it means getting entangled in the most diabolical court case he's ever seen... But even then, will he succeed?

Turnabout Retribution is a fan-made work for the Ace Attorney series. It was created by The Fury Wraith using the Ace Attorney Online trial editor, as an entry for the "A Miracle Happen" Case Competition hosted on the website.

Warning: This case contains spoilers for Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (AA4) as well as certain spoilers for the Ace Attorney Trilogy. (AA1, 2, and 3) It is recommended you play these games before playing this one. ...But this is an Ace Attorney fansite, though. There's bound to be these kinds of spoilers. Oh, well.

This fan case provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Heroism: In the Redemption ending, Kristoph makes a Heel–Face Turn and finds the true culprit of the crime instead of getting his revenge on Phoenix. Averted in the Revenge ending.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Larry Butz is the killer in this case. Downplayed though, since he only killed Elflash in an attempt to help Phoenix.
  • Anti-Villain: The true culprit, Larry Butz, only killed Elflash in an attempt to prevent Phoenix from losing all of his money in a scam that Elflash was pulling.
  • Deal with the Devil: Kristoph makes one in order to escape his damnation. Either he averts his execution, or he's sent straight back to the Devil's clutches.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Kristoph pulls one off in the Redemption ending, finding the true culprit instead of framing Phoenix.
  • The Casino: The murder takes place in one, owned by the victim.
  • Villain Protagonist: Kristoph Gavin, given that he intends to murder Phoenix to win his Deal with the Devil, before switching to intending to frame him for Elflash's murder when that's no longer an option.
