Video Game / Incremental Mass: Altrascendum

Go To

Incremental Mass: Altrascendum is an Idle Game released in 2022 which is meant to be a Game Mod/alternative to Incremental Mass Rewritten. As before, you have to use different mechanics to improve mass gain and get it as high as possible, but instead of going Quantum at a certain point, you start rising Exotic for Exotic Particles, there's a new theme for the interface, and several other aspects of the balancing are adjusted.

The game is playable here.

This game provides examples of:

  • Adapted Out: All elements after Thallium have been removed from the game, with it explicitly mentioned that it's the final element, while in the original all elements appear.
  • Anti-Frustration Features:
    • There's a Sweep button for challenges, letting you do ones you can complete in quick succession with just one push.
    • The Real Numbers option removes units of weight. It's mostly meant to help with challenges, where those could be confusing regarding how close you are to the goal.
  • Bragging Rights Reward: Doing feats provides you with tiny optional upgrades that typically aren't worth the effort by the time you get them (like Pre-Ultra Supernova scalings starting 1 later or Hardened challenge scaling being 4% weaker, which isn't much compared to most other upgrades).
  • Cap:
    • Tau effect is capped at 1e6x cheaper, unlike the original.
    • Axion upgrades all have a level cap which is steadily increased.
  • Cosmetic Award: If you have the Aarex theme on, unlocking Mass Dilation changes bought Element color from blue to green. Otherwise, their function stays the same.
