- The '70s anime's Latin American Spanish dub was directed by Rubén Arvizu, who also voiced Olaf.

- The '70s anime (which aired in Germany first) was a coproduction between Germany's Taurus Film and the Japanese animation studio Zuiyo Eizo. Zuiyo became known as Nippon Animation in 1975 and the show transitioned to a Nippon Animation production following episode 52.
- The CGI reboot was made by Belgian company Studio 100 and with some involvement with Sweden and Germany. Studio 100 has also made CGI reboots of two other Zuiyo/Nippon literary anime from the same time period, Heidi, Girl of the Alps and Maya the Bee.
