  • Channel Hop: The comic initially ran on Smack Jeeves during its first season from 2011 to 2012, but the archive remained active on the site until its demise. Beginning in 2022, the archive was moved to The Duck, where the second season also premiered.
  • Development Hell: Although Joseph Scarbrough had the idea for a second season for the comic after the original first season had been completed, he apparently felt discouraged from pressing forward with it on the grounds that not only did the comic fail to reach any sort of readership during its original run, but also because he felt that after wrapping up Levana's story arc in those original seventeen strips, to continue on, "After happily ever after" was pointless. It wasn't until 2022 that the second season finally saw the light of day after a renewed interested in Levana and her story gave Scarbrough the inspiration to go forward with it.
  • Post-Script Season: As noted above, the comic's second season can see been as such on the grounds that Scarbrough considered Levana's arc to have been completed over the course of the comic's original run.
  • Screwed by the Network: Not only did the archive for the comic's original first season disappear with the demise of Smack Jeeves, but plans for the second season to be hosted on ComicFury were killed when Scarbrough was banned from the site, and the comic was deleted from their system. See What Could Have Been below.
  • Sequel Gap: As noted above, the original run of the comic in its first season was from 2011 to 2012, and the second season did not see the light of day until an entire decade later in 2022.
  • Similarly Named Works: Although the comic was inspired specifically by Jonathan Richman's song, there also happens to be countless other songs, stories, and properties with the same name.
  • What Could Have Been: When searching for a new website to have the comic hosted on for its second season, Scarbrough was originally going to go with ComicFury, and was even in the process of re-archiving the original strips from the first season with them, but ended up being banned from the site and this comic's archive deleted altogether due to perceived forum misconduct.
