- Memetic Mutation: Falete's characterization as Umberto Tozzi on the season 4 premiere drew comparisons to Chucky the diabolical doll.
- Recursive Import:
- The kids version originated in Portugal and was brought to Spain under the title Tu Cara Me Suena Mini.
- The short-lived American version, Sing Your Face Off, had a roulette wheel on which contestants had to pull a lever to know which artist would they have to impersonate on the following episode. In the Spanish version, this was introduced instead of the classic buzzer on season 4 (however, host Manel Fuentes kept refering to it as "the buzzer", and it was replaced with a different buzzer for season 9).
- Troubled Production: As happened to many other shows across the globe, season 8 had to stop production in March 2020 due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. It wouldn't resume until late in the year, with the season finishing in January 2021.
