  • The Spanish releases of the film loosely translate to Blood in the Lighthouse.

• Playing Against Type: Richard Carlson was best known for playing Science Hero characters in movies like Creature from the Black Lagoon, It Came from Outer Space, or even Hold That Ghost. Casting him as an evil jazz musician was a bold move.
• Real-Life Relative: Susan Gordon (Sandy) is the daughter of director Bert I. Gordon. She was ten when she made this movie.
• Throw It In!: Sandy's "What's the matter with a jazz magician?" was an acceptable change from the original line because Susan Gordon had trouble saying "jazz musician" properly and ruined several takes as a result.
