Go To

  • Deleted Scene:
    • The scene in the finished version where Marge comments on the Itchy and Scratchy robots originally had Marge commenting on how nice everything was going, only to find Homer eating a kid's popsicle stick, while the kid's holding it.
    • Originally the scene with Homer and Bart in the cell ran longer, with them talking about how they couldn't resist victimising the park workers.
Bart: There's just no way to resist it, is there?
Homer: No. The way they caper around with their happy smiles and their positive attitudes.
      Bart: I hear ya...
    • When the robots go nuts, Lisa tries using the Liar's Paradox on them. It doesn't work, and the robots just shrug it off, but it does work on Homer.
  • DVD Commentary: The commentary for this episode talks about the censorship battle surrounding this episode, with showrunner David Mirkin stating that the network executives were threatening to censor the show unless Itchy and Scratchy and its accompanying violence was heavily cut down upon.
  • The Other Darrin: Alex Rocco was unavailable to play Roger Meyers, Jr., so Hank Azaria voiced him instead.
  • Shoot the Money: Most of this episode takes place at Itchy and Scratchy Land, which is a new location and a lot of work for the animators.
  • The Red Stapler: You can now buy Bort license plates at Universal Studios. And yes, they do sell out often.
