• What Could Have Been: A remake starring Jim Carrey, with Steve Oedekerk directing, was in the works in the late '90s, but it was canceled after a disastrous test screening of a Motion Capture Carrey-as-Limpet that went deep into the Unintentional Uncanny Valley. Mike Judge and Richard Linklater have also been attached to remake the film, with Robin Williams attached.
