• Celebrity Voice Actor: In the Easter special, Dizzy Gillespie voices the Easter Bunny.
• Development Hell: A film adaptation was announced in 2010, but nothing has come out of it.
• Long Runner: Sixty-two years as of 2022.
• Outlived Its Creator: Following Bil Keane's death in November 2011, son Jeff (on whom Jeffy is based) has continued to go solo. He had previously helped Dad on the strip starting in the 2000s.
• Recycled Script: Having been around as long as it has, an increasing number of panels have been "remade" over the years, most noticably Christmas-related ones; there are also long stretches of reruns from decades ago. Since the strip's humor hasn't evolved, it's hard to tell which are remade/reruns and which aren't if one didn't read the panels back when they were new or in the book collections.
• Write Who You Know: As mentioned above, the family is based on Bil Keane's own family. The main differences are that the real Keanes had five kids, Jeff is the only one who shares his character's name, and "Dolly" (actually Gayle) was the oldest.
