Trivia / Tama & Friends

Go To

  • Bad Export for You: The series was released in America by 4Kids Entertainment, but only 13 episodes were dubbed in English. Crunchyroll would later pick up the streaming rights about one year before their acquisition by Sony.
  • Franchise Killer: Tama and Friends: Search For It! The Magic Puni-Puni Stone completely derailed the franchise. The sudden shift to a Funny Animals series set in a magical kingdom did not sit well with fans. Group TAC would go out of business after the series, and the franchise would stay dormant for the next decade.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The 13-episode English dub from 4Kids Entertainment never got an official home video release.
  • Screwed by the Network: WFGX, a former independent-then-The WB-then independent station (now MyNetworkTV) licensed in Fort Walton Beach, Florida had the syndication rights to the 4Kids English dub but it wasn't shown in the areas of Mobile, Alabama and its neighboring Baldwin County, Alabama despite being part of the Mobile-Pensacola TV market. note
