  • Senator Cretak, originally played by Megan Cole, is here played by Adrienne Barbeau.
  • And Neral, formerly played by Norman Large, is now played by Hal Landon Jr.
• Recycled Set: The Bellerophon is simply the Star Trek: Voyager set with minor cosmetic modifications (ex. a different conference table and new chairs in the Briefing Room). The Voyager cast were using a different soundstage during filming, so it was free. This does cause a discrepancy as the Bellerophon has the same kitchen that Neelix built in the first season of Voyager.
• What Could Have Been: According to Ronald D. Moore, originally the Bellerophon was going to be a Defiant-class vessel and they would've just redressed the existing sets. It was Moore who proposed doing something different and using the Voyager sets instead.
• You Look Familiar: Koval looks and sounds a lot like the Romulan who brainwashed Geordi into assassinating a Klingon governor. And they both use gadgets that mess with people's minds.
