• Alternate Character Interpretation:
  • Admiral Ross being "incapacitated" by an aneurysm is an integral part of The Plan, and two Redshirts just happen to discuss it in front of Bashir. Coincidence, or are they in on it?
  • The biggest ones have to be for Koval, as we get almost no information on his real motives for being a Federation mole. Is he being blackmailed by Section 31? Is working with the Federation just an alliance of convenience for him, they get a mole and he gets to eventually become praetor? Has he just been faking his hardliner beliefs and been a secret believer in the Federation, perhaps even a follower of Spock's reform movement?
  • Sloan's rather visible activities seriously call into question his claims of Section 31's secrecy and whether it even exists at all, or at least that there's a deeper game being played.
