• Acting for Two: Every single character (except Johnny Elaine/Realistic Fish Head) in Patrick's first chapter is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke.
• Late Export for You: A more minor example but despite being finalized at roughly the same time as the other versions (at least according to internal build dates), the Japanese version didn't release until 3 months after other regions. Even South Korea got it at the same time as PAL regions.
• No Export for You: The GameCube, PC, and handheld versions were never released in Japan; South Korea was even more unlucky and only got the PlayStation 2 release.^note The Wii itself wasn't released in South Korea until April 26, 2008, while the game released on December 14, 2006, in the region.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Before becoming what it is, the original intention was to have been an action-adventure platformer with an Old Save Bonus feature for other PS2 SpongeBob games.
  • They planned to make the game for a few more consoles, including the PlayStation 3 (as a launch title), the original Platform/Xbox , the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation Portable. In the end, only the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Wii and the Nintendo portable duo (Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS) got it.
