• Box Office Bomb: Budget, $35 million. Global box office, $26.8 million.
• B-Team Sequel: Roger Donaldson had no interest in returning to direct.
• Old Shame:
  • Michael Madsen doesn't have good things to say about the film. In fact, before Madsen's personal website was redesigned, the movie was listed in his filmography accompanied by only two words: "Big mistake".
  • Natasha Henstridge also showed contempt: "I was really hoping that it would be more subtle. It’s like they took something that made money the first time around and they said, 'Let’s go a little further with the sex, the prostitutes, the violence, the blood,' and they just went too far."
  • Even H. R. Giger was not happy about it either, requesting a reduction of credit in his involvement.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Edward Asner was going to play Dr. Herman Cromwell but dropped out.
  • Another script was written to follow the What Happened to the Mouse? ending of the original, but was unused.
