• Acting for Two: Ian Sinclair plays both Brook and Itomimizu, who appear together for the first time here.
• The Other Darrin: Hamburg is now voiced by Garret Storms instead of Scott Freeman, as Funimation terminated their relationship with the latter actor in 2014.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: Because of issues licensing the song, the special's theme song, "Black Make Up", was replaced with "We Go!" instead.
