• He Also Did: The creature voices for I Am Legend.
  • He was apparently the singer in Nestlé's "Sweet Dreams You Can't Resist" commercials in the 1980s and 90s.
• The Other Marty: He joined Dead Cross after their first album was already completed - the original vocal tracks by Gabe Serbian were removed and Patton added his own vocals, lyrics and melodies to the instrumental tracks.
• What Could Have Been: He was apparently asked to join INXS following the death of Michael Hutchence - he bluntly turned it down because he'd never liked their music.
  • Similarly, members of Guns N' Roses asked Patton to audition for a then-unnamed new Supergroup, which he declined - the project evolved into Velvet Revolver, with Scott Weiland taking on the role of frontman.
