Go To

  • Adored by the Network: The show could be considered as ABS-CBN's cash cow from the late 2000s to early 2010s and the turn of the decade as it originally aired on the last 9 months of the 2000s decade (February 2 to December 31, 2009) and the first 2 months of the 2010s decade (January 1 to February 5, 2010) and having aired for 1 year and 3 days with 263 episodes. ABS-CBN would later try to replicate May Bukas Pa's success with other children's faith-based series or morality tales such as Honesto to mixed success.
    • The series is also one of the network's cash cow of the 2010s decade, the other being Ang Probinsyano (2015).
  • Irony As He Is Cast: Zaijian Jaranilla's full name is Zaijian Godsick Lara Jaranilla. Though it could be just Gratuitous English on part of his family when he was born.
  • Long-Runners: The series was the longest-running show that aired on the network's 7:45/8:00pm Primetime Bida timeslot of the 2010s as it has 263 episodes (with episodes 238 until 263 aired on the 2010s decade (January 1-February 5, 2010)) until Ang Probinsyano reached its 264th episode mark on October 4, 2016, making Ang Probinsyano now the longest-running teleserye that aired on the said timeslot of the 2010s from October 4, 2016 to December 31, 2019.
    • The series is also the longest-running of ABS-CBN/Dreamscape Entertainment values/child-oriented teleseryes that were released on odd number of years since November 25, 2009 upon reaching the 211st episode mark, beating the 210-episode count of 2005-2006's Mga Anghel na Walang Langit.
  • Marathon Running: From April 9 to 11, 2009 (Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday), the show had its encore telecast as part of ABS-CBN's Holy Week presentation. The 3-part marathon special consists of the show's episodes that were aired between February and April 2009.
  • The Merch: In line with the show's immense popularity, various merchandise were made to tie in with the series like tshirts, sandals and other items for children. They were available from 2009 to 2010, and can still able to be bought within 2010 even after the show ended on February 5, 2010 until there are no more left or they became out of stock on all stores.
  • Rereleased for Free: The whole series can be streamed for free on YouTube, likely as it would be easier for parents and children alike to view the show on YouTube than to spend $10 a month on Netflix or go through the trouble of pirating it either with a bootleg copy bought off the local palengke or on some shady website.
  • Rerun: From April 9 to 11, 2009 (Maundy Thursday to Black Saturday), the show had its encore telecast as part of ABS-CBN's Holy Week presentation consisting of the episodes that were aired between February and April 2009. Eleven years later, the series was re-aired on its original timeslot (7:45 pm) until May 4, 2020 (the day ABS-CBN's broadcast franchise given in 1995 expired that led to the network's sign-off one day later) following the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in ABS-CBN and other networks temporarily scaling down operations due to concerns over cast health and safety.
  • Role Reprise: Zaijian Jaranilla and Jaime Fabregas appeared in character as Santino and Father Anthony in the 2011 documentary Banal (lit. "Holy"), coinciding with the beatification of Pope John Paul II where Jaranilla and Fabregas served as narrators.
