- B-Team Sequel: The first GBA game was developed by Digital Eclipse, while this game was developed by Climax Studios.
- Sequel First: In Japan, that is. In fact, for them it's a case of Sequel Only, since they never got the first Lilo & Stitch GBA game.
- What Could Have Been: A 2004 video uploaded to YouTube in 2021 shows that Climax was working on a "Lilo & Stitch 3" handheld platform game that would have been released for Nintendo DS, but they never got any further than a prototype running on a prototype DS dev kit. There wouldn't be a Lilo & Stitch game released for the DS until 2009's Disney Stitch Jam developed by Cattle Call, a music/rhythm game based on the Stitch! anime.
- Working Title: A prototype build dated April 15, 2004 shows that the game was originally titled Lilo & Stitch in "Hamsterviel's Revenge!" [sic] during development.
