• Fake Nationality: Tim Lounibos, who was born in America and has German, Irish and Asian ancestry, plays Campisano, said to have been born in America of South Korean and Italian parents, but was in fact born in North Korea. Lounibos often plays mixed race characters, and in one case even a mixed species character (the half-human half-Napean Lieutenant j.g. Daniel Kwan in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation).
• You Look Familiar:
  • There are probably several viewers who watched JAG for its original run on CBS but didn't watch the Season 1 episodes like this one on NBC, but rather much later, on DVD or perhaps even streaming. Such viewers might recognize Barry Jenner as Norman Delaporte, the ZNN reporter built up and torn down on "Mr Rabb Goes to Washington". However, more likely they recognize him from Family Matters or the latter seasons of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
  • Tim Lounibos played Lt. Yuen on two later JAG episodes. He also appeared as Detective Paul Atwood on NCIS and as Judge Sorrentino on NCIS: Los Angeles.
• Lt. Valko (Tim Ryan) is named after casting agent Nikki Valko, C.S.A.
