- Completely Different Title: Holocaust 2000 is the original Italian title on Italian prints. Rain of Fire is the film's international export version title. The Chosen was the title of the American release version of the film.
- Fake Nationality: The Israeli Sara Golan is played by Italian actress Agostina Belli.
- Follow the Leader: This movie tried to follow on the success of The Omen. It's surprisingly well-made, however. It helps having Kirk Douglas in the lead role and a soundtrack made by Ennio Morricone.
