Trivia / Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly

• Channel Hop: The RP series used to be done on a RP server known as "Hazbins Hell Hotel" (better known as "Dollie's" to others) that the creators had no control over, but simply performed their series of R Ps there. Once things got out hand there however and a bunch of in-house fighting and drama occurred, the creators of Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer's Folly simply moved and made a start of his own.
• Creator's Favorite:
  • Gallibon has stated that his favorite character is Cazador. Likewise, Gallibon has stated his favorite villains to write are Gevaudan Silverwolf and Vroomius Maximus.
  • Gallibon's favorite RP performed from Hazbins Hell Hotel is the "Saturday" plot, feeling it was where Cazador really took off as a character and what really solidified him in the role as Angel Dust.
• Creator Backlash:
  • Happened to Gallibon's later RPs done at Hazbins Hell Hotel, saying that they "weren't fully realized" and too derailed from his original vision, not helped by them constantly being hijacked by overpowered characters like John, Leon and Evan.
  • Gallibon is also VERY critical of his role as Angel Dust in Leon St. John's RPs, feeling he made him too "cheerleader" in hindsight and seemed out of character, and also thought that realistically speaking, Angel would beat the shit out of Leon for being such a jackass.
  • Gallibon considers the recent remaster RPs of "Giant Monster Fat Nuggets" to be the worst of the remasters and considers it one of his weakest work in general, chiefly due to how it being promoted as an event (even though it wasn't supposed to be one). It's one of the rare times Gallibon has stated he prefers the original Dollie's version.
  • Potato isn't very fond of his early work done on Hazbins Hell Hotel either, of which he rarely speaks about it.
  • Potato also very fond of both the "Demonic Weapons" or "Baxter vs. Arcadian" plots, considering both of them to be some of his worst works.
  • Saint isn't very fond of his early RPs, saying he cringes with embarassment whenever he sees them.
  • Ditto for Potato, who doesn't like talking about his time over on Hazbins Hell Hotel, due to being forced to do many things he didn't want to and the rampant racism present.
  • Potato, Saint and Henry all regret their participation and creation of the "Demonic Weapons" plot.
  • For a more specific example; Gallibon considers the "Trial of Stolas" arc to be the weakest RP he ever did on the server.
• Creator's Pest:
  • Purr-Vert became this to Gallibon around 2022 and 2023 as she strayed far from his original vision, being watered down and lacking many of the original ideas for her, just making her essentially "Rift's wife". Her Misaimed Fandom did not help matters. This is the reason she was Out of Focus for a while. That said, Gallibon has softened towards the character recently and managed to get more control back to write the character the way he wanted.
  • The reason for Machigai's death and thus retiring him as a gag character was because Gallibon later got sick of him, feeling he was just repetitive at this point.
  • Potato wasn't fond of Franziska, finding her to be a boring villainess whose seemingly only personality trait was "being sexy". It's why she was later just given off to Gallibon, who proceeded to make her into The Baroness type character.
  • Potato also isn't fond of Naberius too much, feeling he became a boring character later on. Though this has less to do with the quality of the character and more because ever since he became a father, he could no longer write him as The Cynic as he originally intended as he feared if Naberius remained as such it would have made him come off as Jerkass.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Most of the original versions of the RPs done at Hazbins Hell Hotel are gone. Due to the creators not being very proud of many of them though, there's a good reason for this.
• Parody Displacement: The reason it's even called Lucifer's Folly? Originally it was meant to be a spoof of the overly pretentious sounding titles that most Hazbin Hotel RP servers had back in the day. However, with most of those RP servers going down under and becoming incredibly obscure, the title is now one of the more better known Hazbin Hotel RP servers.
• Working Title: Originally was going to be called Hazbin Hotel: People Likes Us (as a reference to the very original title for Hazbin Hotel, before Gallibon found out that name had already been taken by another server) and more jokingly Angel's Dust Bizarre Adventure.
• Word of Gay: While it has yet to be shown proper in RP, Kennedy and Murky are confirmed by Gallibon to be a gay couple.
