Trivia / Haunted Hotel

• Acting for Two: As is the case with many of the Elephant Games properties, the Haunted Hotel games frequently have an Economy Cast, with only a few performers providing all of the voices. For example, in The Evil Inside, Andrew Hindle is the voice of Alexander Valentine, P.A.T.R.I.C.K., and Christian the screenwriter.
• Blooper: The credits of A Past Redeemed include Agent Brown and Mortimer Brown among the characters appearing in the game. The Brown twins are from Detectives United and do not appear in A Past Redeemed. (Agent Brown, however, did have a short appearance in the installment Eternity.)
• Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: Most of the games made by Elephant are available in both a vanilla edition and one of these. The collector's edition of each game offers a bonus chapter which expands on the storyline, as well as extra puzzles, collection sidequests, and other features like concept art.
• One-Steve Limit:
  • The Big Bad of Death Sentence has the surname of Blackthorne. Later installments in the series give this surname to recurring character James. There's nothing to indicate that they're in any way related.
    • Also, in the Grim Tales series, Blackthorne is the surname of the Big Bad of Guest From the Future - and he's not indicated to be in any way connected to either of the Haunted Hotel characters with that name.
  • Sarah is the name of both the murderer's Lost Lenore girlfriend in The Axiom Butcher and the player character's girlfriend in the bonus chapter of Silent Waters. They are, of course, completely different people.
