• Backed by the Pentagon: The producers received quite a bit of assistance from the Arizona National Guard in particular.
• Follow the Leader: The film is essentially Top Gun with Attack Helicopters starring Tommy Lee Jones and Nicolas Cage. Much like Iron Eagle, it didn't make as much of an impact, although unlike Iron Eagle, it didn't receive any sequels - likely because of how similar it was to Top Gun
• Market-Based Title: Released in some territories as Wings of the Apache.
