  • The "Ain't I A Stinker?" ending has been reused many times, in homage to this cartoon. The purple, flower-headed version of Daffy is also a favorite image to reuse when someone is a victim of a Forced Transformation.
  • South Park's "Vaccination Special" has a scene where Mr. Garrison makes a deal with the "Hollywood Elites" (including the show's creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone) that plays like a much more vulgar version of this short: the animators make all sorts of bizarre changes to the show, culminating in a character being turned into a giant penis.
  • In the Animaniacs 2020 reboot, the episode "Yakko Amakko" features Yakko Warner being tormented with photoshop editing tools in a similar manner to this short. At one point, he pulls out the Duck Amuck title card to get the animator to stop, on the basis that the "animator gets screwy with cartoon protagonist" premise has already been done and dusted.
  • The randomizer for Final Fantasy V Advance has the flower-head Daffy as one of the possible random options for the sprite for Neo Exdeath.
• Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: The decision to make Daffy's tormentor Bugs Bunny was made more or less at the last minute as a bonus punchline. Chuck Jones had always stated he was Daffy's real tormentor, testing out what truly made Daffy Duck Daffy Duck, and considered filming himself instead of Bugs Bunny.
