• Role Reprise: Despite the license for New Dominion being given to Central Park Media, the studio was still using other companies to dub their efforts. The voice acting for the dub reunited the original UK cast from the previous series.
• Schedule Slip: The reboot Dominion series was planned to include four books. The first was released in 1995, and work was put on hold after Shirow decided to work on other series, with no work being done on the series since then.
• What Could Have Been: Shirow says in the authors notes of Appleseed:Hypernotes, that many of the ideas and sketches that were made for Dominion weren't used and instead were recycled for Ghost in the Shell to the point he outright calls the latter "essentially a Dominion byproduct".
