• Corpsing:
  • Watch Mickey's face from the point that the Doctor staggers out of the TARDIS to the point that he collapses at Mickey and Jackie's feet. Noel Clarke could barely keep a straight face.
  • Same with the kid actors under blood control, who are supposed to be strictly marching to their doom but can't help to crack a smile when their mother tries to stop them.
• Deleted Scene: In a scene filmed for the episode, but deleted before broadcast (though included on the DVD), the Doctor attempts to utter his predecessor's catchphrase, "Fantastic!" but due to his "new teeth" finds it initially impossible to do so. This scene was intended to set up the final scene of the episode in which the new Doctor finally utters the word, "Fantastic!"
• Edited for Syndication: The scene where Ten is getting his new wardrobe was cut out from the BBC America version.
• Prop Recycling: One of the costumes David Tennant wore in Casanova can be seen in the TARDIS wardrobe.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Suzy Eddie Izzard and David Walliams were considered for the role of the Tenth Doctor before the casting of David Tennant. Walliams would go on to portray Gibbis in "The God Complex".
  • There were supposed to be scenes showing the Sycorax’s destruction across the world, but the effects couldn’t be made to look realistic enough, so it was left out. Davies even briefly considered destroying Big Ben again.
