Trivia / DinoZaurs

  • Acting for Two: In the dub, Tom Wyner voices both Dino and Drago Brachio, being the only actor to voice both a Dino Knight and his respective Drago Clone.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The TV series has only been officially released on DVD in Spain (with English and Spanish dual-audio options), so in order for you to watch the series (without pirating it), you’ll need to import those DVD’s, and you’ll need to have a region-free DVD player. If you aren’t opposed to piracy, however, the English dub survives on Youtube thanks to these DVD releases. This is more than can be said for the OVA. The first four installments were only released on VHS with the original Japanese toys and the fifth as part of a limited run with a magazine that came out in the late '90s. The Japanese version of the TV series is near impossible to find raw let alone subbed since it was part of a limited broadcast on Fuji TV with no known home release.
  • The Other Darrin: The original Dinozone OVAs has a completely different cast from the TV series. For example, Tyranno went from Joji Nakata in the former to Toshiyuki Morikawa in the latter.
    • In the English dub, Ptera was voiced by Lenore Zann except in the finale where Philece Sampler, already the voice of Rena, filled in.
      • Catherine Battistone replaced Diane Salinger as Diamond Ryugu in the last six or so episodes. Battistone took over in Episode 21, but Salinger is still her voice in Episode 23, likely due to sporadic production as was common in Saban dubbed projects.
