- Defictionalization: This was inevitable. Many Digimon introduced in this series said not to be available in the V-pets were made available in the V-pets and video games before it was finished, most obviously V-dramon.
- No Export for You: There was a discount Kindle release of all 9 volumes on August 21st, 2015. But if you weren't in Japan, then you couldn't buy it. Tenya Habuno did say he'd like to see an international release one day. The original volumes can be purchased on Amazon but, as Habuno noted, they are expensive.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: The reason several Digimon and Digimon forms exclusive to the manga rarely show up elsewhere compared to other Digimon characters is because of rights issues requiring extra negotiation to use them.
- What Could Have Been:
- Prince Putto the Plotmon was supposed to be involved in Takuya's chapter, as well as Warg and Melga's. His story was also going to introduce an entire other world.
- There were Digimon created for the manga that had to be cut for time and have yet to be introduced in any media. Some of them did manage to make it on panel and get an out of story explanation for their existence, but that's about it for the foreseeable future.
