- Channel Hop: The original series and specials aired on TBS, Nyo! (as well as Panyo Panyo) however aired on TV Tokyo.
- Development Hell: Bandai Entertainment announced the English cast for the series in 2005, but it would take until 2008 for the first DVD to be released.
- Marth Debuted in "Smash Bros.": This series was the introduction of Dejiko’s Mother and Rod Young in North America as Synch-Point's release of the movie release was cancelled and the specials weren't available in North America until 2013.
- Real Song Theme Tune: Nyo!'s first opening is a cover of "Listen To Your Heartbeat" note (and by proxy its English version) by the Swedish pop group Friends.
- The first ending, "Equal Romance" is a cover of the 1989 CoCo song of the same name and was previously used as the 2nd ending of Ranma ½ note .
- The Other Darrin: Bandai Entertainment hired Ocean Media's non-union studio, Blue Water to dub Nyo! resulting in everyone being recast.
- Unfinished Dub: Only 72 of the show’s 104 episodes were dubbed into English.
