• Creator Backlash: Priest said in an interview that he dislikes the Executive Meddling that kept him from turning Damian Wayne into one of Slade's kids, and that far as he's concerned, Batman is simply lying to himself and Damian truly is Deathstroke's son.
• Renamed to Avoid Association: His alias was initially "Deathstroke the Terminator". This was quietly shortened in the '80s after The Terminator essentially monopolized the term.
• What Could Have Been: According to Christopher Priest in the afterword of the trade, the Batman Vs. Deathstroke story was supposed to be co-written with Scott Snyder when it was first pitched. The collaboration was even greenlit by DC's higher-ups, but then Snyder got busy writing Dark Nights: Metal, so Priest wound up writing the story by himself.
